This is the preliminary schedule, more details will be added closer to the event. This is to give you a rough idea of what your time will be like during the hackathon.

If you have never attended a hackathon here is what you need to know. The process is about what the groups themselves want to create – on day one they together figure out how they want to approach the brief using their specific skills and interests. From there they figure out how to make a prototype, in a very short amount of time. To help guide the process and support the teams there will be a facilitator who has worked in these environments before. There will also be tech staff on hand to give introductions to some of the equipment that people may be unfamiliar with. The whole process hinges on the teams taking advantage of and utilizing the resources they themselves provide – their passion, creativity, and skills – while learning new things from their teammates.
